Primordial Connections . Potency via the Tongue, Eyes & Spine in Functional Integration® and Awareness Through Movement® An advanced training with David Zemach-Bersin
What happens when you’ve spent approximately 80,000 hours of your life studying and teaching the Feldenkrais Method™? You become potent: a potent practitioner, a potent trainer, and a potent student, still able to delve into the mysteries of the Feldenkrais Method and discover something new to share. David’s upcoming workshop, ‘Primordial Connections: Potency via the Tongue, Eyes, & Spine in Functional Integration and Awareness Through Movement’ is that something new.
“The material in this workshop can improve your ability to move and act and potentiate your work as a Feldenkrais Teacher.”
The movements of our eyes, mouth, and tongue have functional relationships with the movements of our spine, which makes accessing these neural patterns unusually potent. Integrated action of this kind existed long before homo sapiens and involves patterns and dynamics that are still present in our brain and essential to our development, organization, ease of movement, and future well-being.
In this workshop, you will learn how to use these uniquely integrated movements in FI® and ATM® to communicate with the older, lower, and more reflexive parts of the brain to re-organize important aspects of movement. Original Awareness Through Movement lessons will help you restore your capacity for primordial or propulsive movements, as you sense and differentiate the movement of one vertebra from another.
